Craniosacral Therapy is a joint practice, between practitioner and client, of deep listening on all levels - physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.
The practice of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is based on the simple and deep observation of how nature heals. 'Biodynamic' refers to the acknowledgement of our intrinsic wholeness.
The Practitioner orientates to these natural rhythms, supporting your body's healing intentions, allowing deep embodiment and connection to life, to stillness, and to ‘Dadirri’ (2).
Craniosacral Therapy brings deep levels of stillness and a wide perspective, inviting forth wholeness and health.
This practice enables us to 'let go and let God' as Christians may say; or become 'one with the flow' as in the essence of Taoism; or to 'be with what is' from a Buddhist perspective.
Craniosacral Therapy often brings the recognition of wholeness within physical, emotional, mental and spiritual realms through the gentlest touch. I am constantly astonished at what occurs and what is revealed to people.
You are fully clothed, on a massage table, with the session proceeding at your own pace. Your body intelligence facilitates the healing. It is a slow, very gentle therapy, with nothing required of you. Most often the client experiences at least a deep relaxation.
The Craniosacral approach involves a light, non-manipulative, non-intrusive touch. It influences the brain, the central nervous system, the spinal cord, and all organs and structures of the body and often creates a deep sense of wellbeing.
This kind of touch allows the brain to switch off from "flight and fight" to "rest and repair". Unresolved trauma on all levels can gently unravel, without necessarily having to be revisited.
The Practitioner's profound presence creates an environment for new discovery, allowing layers of experience to unfold and often resolve. Clients may experience dissolution of deep conflicts within relationships, and within themselves. This can often be physically reflected.
Your body intelligence facilitates healing. As this is such a gentle, non-invasive practice it is safe for everyone from infants to the elderly. It can also be supportive in times of major transition including birthing and dying processes.
