About The Wedgetails

Wedgetail eagles inhabit the mountains, right next to where I live and work.

One arrives in my field of vision  when I most need it; affirming and directing me.

Here is an example. I. had retired from my counselling practise. It was  time,  after four or so decades of work in the helping professional world.

I spent a few years meeting my six new grandchildren; being with them as much as I could.  However,  there was still  a deep call for me to serve others. I had no idea how.

After a neck injury,  I visited my craniosacral therapist. During the session  a wedgetail eagle glided past her window.  Simultaneously, I was receiving a very clear call to learn this practise.

The two  year course started ten days later....with no further courses available  for over two years.  I needed to get on board!  Thus, I found myself camping alone at Lake Cootharaba and it was beautiful, as well as challenging!!

Some years after completing the course, I again visited my craniosacral therapist.  As I  waited in  my car, a wedgetail glided slowly just over my head ...a benediction.

There has been no question about the ‘rightness’ of my stepping into this role, nor the need for me to keep going.

However, it has taken some time for me to build my confidence  to actually launch.  I’m so grateful for my colleagues the wedgetails, for continuing to remind me that I am supported.
